5. Learn Tai Chi — d: I like Tai Chi. I once saw old school skateboarder Rus Howell do this really wicked freestyle routine that was all tai chi moves but on a skateboard.

8. Get a master’s degree in something — d: okay. I used to know a guy that created his own bogus university and he would give you a master’s degree or doctorate. No kidding. I think I would like to be a reverend. …..and the lord took me beyond the stars and said these would be the souls I win for you! Jesus!

9. Learn to sew — d:believe it or not when I went to school in Florida I had home economics and I learned how to sew.

10. Overcome my obsession with creating stress for myself — d: Don’t worry, be happy. It’ll all soon be over! Nick, face it. There are some things that we just do not have much if any control over and those are the things that we should not stress over. Thats a had thing to do though is to let go. I saw on tv recently that it ws the Danish I think, that are the happiest people in the world. They just sort of don’t set the highest goals in the world. I think they are just sort of laid back people. Instead of being number one, they sort of settle on being number 26.

11. Screenprint original Tshirt ideas — d: just do it. You could set up a Cafepress account and let them do all the hard work. I might be doing something with Charlie Restless of Restless Bodies sometime soon. I like the idea of doing t-shirts. When I was a kid of about 12 I went to the state fair and I went to one of those t-shirt vendors that iron on the transfers right there on the shirts. I bought a robert crumb “Just Passin Thru” that has Mr. Natural on it. Today I have a shirt that is identical to it. I like r. crumb.

12. Orchestrate and join in a massive food fight (stole this one)– d: again, one word. why

13. See if you really can light a fart with a match — d: believe it or not. Its true! You can do that. First time I ever saw that done in my life was my father did it. When it did it I found it so shocking and so funny that I got sick laughing!

14. Ride on a motorcycle — d: hopefully it will be your bike you are working on? You are already one step ahead of me. I would like to build a nice rat bobber. I know I could build a really cool one.

15. Learn to play guitar — d: I do know some guys that can teach you. Bill, the bass player that was at my art show he gives lessons at Moe’s Music and I think its about $25 for a 30 minute session. I might be wrong about the cost but its probably not that much. He would be a good teacher. He taught Evan to play.

16. Reconnect with my best friend from high school– d: I know how that is. I tried being friends again with an old school/neighborhood friend of mine a few years back. Didn’t work out very well. The problem is people over time really change and they are no longer the person you used to know. What you remember is actually locked away in time.

17. Make it through a Marilyn Monroe movie with Christy — d: I think that might be do-able.

18. Camp in Yellowstone — d: would you settle for camping in Jellystone? Remember the Danes!

19. Drive across the United States in a convertible — d: thats a good goal. I used to have a 1992 volkswagen cabriolet convertable. Loved it. Should have never sold it. I would like to get another convertable one day. One of the new beetles converts would be good. I actually owned a vw new beetle too, sold that, shouldn’t have sold it.

20. Have a tattoo removed : d: one word. Sharpie.

21. Have sushi in Japan — d: one word. FUGU!

22. Meet someone famous — d: I have a real problem with that concept. Meeting someone famous I would hate to be the person that points at them and says “hey, you’re David Bowie!” Like no shit! My friend Mike now he has meet so many famous people and to him its like its not a big deal. I guess when you really get down to it, its really not all that big of a deal. They are all people just doing their thing, their job, whatever. Being famous is probably a hard job.

23. Swim (float) in the Great Salt Lake — d: you can drive their in a convertable or better yet your motorcycle.

24. Drop in on a 12 foot half pipe. — d: I can make that happen. Actually that might not be a good idea. I will say that there is a really cool concrete skatepark in currituck county. Try that first.

25. Surprise Christy with a trip to somewhere requiring a passport. — d: let me see your papers! Now is that with or without a guy holding an AK-47 with no personality?

I don’t know that I have very many missions, but I’m not necessarily a mission type person, I’m more of a let’s see where this leads type of person…but this is an interesting list to be sure, can’t wait to see the rest.
