Things to do before I die: 26-50

    By Nick | March 13, 2008

    Here’s 26 – 50.  This is harder than I thought!

    26. Visit a factory where something is being mass produced
    27. Go Deep Sea Fishing
    28. Convince my sisters to go in business together
    29. Have a party with a keg of great beer
    30. Grow a full beard (I like to call it a manbeard)
    31. Have a more positive outlook on things that are important to others
    32. Live and work in a foreign country
    33. Teach someone else how to juggle
    34. Learn to consistently nose ride and actually hang all 10
    35. Drive a right hand drive vehicle
    36. Have an art studio
    37. Learn the art of video editing and make a documentary
    38. Create a non-profit organization to benefit someone who needs it
    39. Clean my garage and keep it clean
    40. Make home made ice cream
    41. Write a song
    42. Fly an airplane
    43. Read “The Fountainhead” by Ayn Rand
    44. Invent something that the world needs and patent it
    45. Visit Area 51
    46. Go to Space Camp (I always wanted to do that when I was young)
    47. Drive an old school Mini Cooper
    48. Grand Canyon donkey ride
    49. Learn to tie a double windsor knot on a necktie
    50. Pan for gold

      26. Visit a factory where something is being mass produced – d: I once went to a factory when they were making those Wine Cooler refrigerators

      27. Go Deep Sea Fishing – d: I have done that

      28. Convince my sisters to go in business together -d: I cannot do that

      29. Have a party with a keg of great beer – d: if you need a keg of beer like a really cool homebrew I know a guy in the FD who is a beermeister. He makes like spice pumpkin beer. All kinds of fancy beer.

      30. Grow a full beard (I like to call it a manbeard)- d: fear the manbeard

      31. Have a more positive outlook on things that are important to others. – d: I am sure you already have that one covered.

      32. Live and work in a foreign country – d: really? I think I already live and work in one. Just look! Mexicans everywhere!

      33. Teach someone else how to juggle- d: I can’t juggle.

      34. Learn to consistently nose ride and actually hang all 10 – d: you’ll have that one covered this summer I am sure.

      35. Drive a right hand drive vehicle – d: too bad I don’t own my old right hand drive VW Beetle. I actually owned one just a couple of years ago. Not only did you have to learn how to drive on that side but also shifting the stickshift with your left hand is a bit tricky.

      36. Have an art studio – d: cool. That was something that I always wanted but didn’t get to have one until the last move.

      37. Learn the art of video editing and make a documentary – d: thats cool.

      38. Create a non-profit organization to benefit someone who needs it – d: I sure could use one of those cool single speed 29′er type bicycles. I’m pretty needy.

      39. Clean my garage and keep it clean – d: and when you’re done with yours you can come over and try to tackle and tame mine.

      40. Make home made ice cream – d: I have a homemade ice cream maker. Its been awhile since I have made homemade ice cream. Problem is when I have made it in the past I want to eat it all.

      41. Write a song – d: go for it.

      42. Fly an airplane – d: thats cool too.

      43. Read “The Fountainhead” by Ayn Rand – d: thats on my “to read” list too. If you watch the tv series “Lost” Sawyer was sitting on the beach reading “The Fountainhead”.

      44. Invent something that the world needs and patent it – d: make funny t-shirts. Everyone needs more funny t-shirts!

      45. Visit Area 51 – d: is that like visit inside of Area 51 or just be able to maybe catch a glimpse of it from miles away through a set of binoculars? So are you interested in UFOs? Did I ever tell you about the UFOs that I saw? I saw a UFO in Gulf Breeze Florida and also saw one up very close at the fire station with another firefighter with me. The UFO was very close, within maybe 10-12 feet.

      46. Go to Space Camp (I always wanted to do that when I was young)- d: Sometimes I think I work in a space camp. Bunch of space cadets.

      47. Drive an old school Mini Cooper : d: those are so cool. I always wanted one of them when I was a kid.

      48. Grand Canyon donkey ride – d: makes me think Brokeback Mountain donkey ride

      49. Learn to tie a double windsor knot on a necktie – d: believe it or not as classless and I am I can actually teach you how to do that.

      50. Pan for gold – d: that would be fun. I once took Aaron when he was very little to one of those Ruby Mines where you pan for gemstones. He really liked just playing in the water.
