What’s With All This Ear Hair?

Recently (ok I lie…over the past year), I have noticed an increased amount of ear hair growing in my ears. What the hell is up with that?
Why is the human ear designed to grow more hair with age? Are we more susceptable to random bugs flying into our ears as we get older? Is there a higher probability that unwanted things enter your ear as you get older? As far as I know, only toddlers stick things in their ears that aren’t supposed to be there. Maybe I am in the minority of people that don’t have problems with things entering their ear.
Honestly, I think that this is a practical joke that the body plays on you for no other reason than to frustrate you and get people to laugh at you.
I got curious, so I did a little research and found this theory at www.mothernature.com…”No one is entirely sure what makes it happen, but one theory is that as you age, the hair follicles in and around your ears and nose may become more sensitive to the male hormone testosterone, which stimulates the unwanted hair growth.” What the hell?! I know this is a tale of the ages, but why does the body grow hair where its not wanted but can’t figure out the concept of keeping it on your head? At least I am not alone in my possession of retarded hair follicles.
So I guess I am going to have to go down to Walgreen’s and buy an ear hair trimmer. And to think that I was one of the people that always thought those things were ridiculous inventions. I guess I was wrong. At least it doubles as a nosehair trimmer as well. Wait a minute…I can’t put something in my ear that has been up my nose. I guess I need two.
Damn you ear!

God as my witness, I will never let you be that guy with the tiny sweaters in and around his ears.
It is just not fair the surprise hairs we humans get at a certain age…one day you are baby smooth and the next you have whiskers and fur. Don’t think it won’t happen to you too you 20 and 30 somethings out there because I am here to tell ya-it will.

Oh Yeah. This one had me rolling too. I commented on it to my husband and then had a second roll when I saw the nose hair trimmers on the bathroom sink.
