A 9’8 Bouncing Baby Girl
By Nick | November 23, 2007
Several months ago I contacted a local guy that makes surfboards here in town to see if he was interested in having his web site renovated. He was interested in having me do the site and even more interested when I told him that I would barter with him for the work. His new site is www.austinsurfboards.com. I had a lot of fun working with Austin and Troy. Great people and they had some great ideas. Being that surfing is something that I am passionate about, doing this site did not seem like work at all.
Today I brought home the first portion of the barter. Meet my new 9’8 boucing baby girl. Its a completely custom longboard. I wanted it to have the old school feel. No coloring at all except for the very light green pinstripe covering the glass laps on the rails. Austin added the see through resin tail block as well. I have a few more boards on order to complete the barter…can’t wait to see how they turn out!

Imagine my surprise when I found I had been replaced. There on “my side” of the bed was the new lady in your life…how can I compete with a 9 foot tall blonde? She may be beautiful, but I am a better cook!
