    Wii-diculous

    By Nick | January 28, 2009

Christy and I finally got our long awaited Nintendo Wii this weekend (or should I say wiikend). So far we’ve only purchased a few games (No More Heroes, Mario Kart and of course the Wii sports that come with the game console), but I am slowly feeling myself falling into my old gaming habits. When I was a teenager I ate, slept and breathed Nintendo. I remember running home from the school bus just to play my beloved Legend of Zelda.

This Wii sure does take it up a notch though. The physical interaction with the game is insane!

Last night my mom came over and we were playing Tennis and Boxing. Talk about funny….I need to get a video of her playing these games. I was rolling on the floor. While she is jumping around the room and waving her arms about, I am sitting calmly on the couch playing the same game and with more accuracy….but not flailing about like she was. I was certain that she was going to go crashing through my glass coffee table. Good stuff.

Wii like Super Mario Galaxy, the Sports, Animal Crossing City Folk and all the Lego games like Lego Star Wars.

I agree, the Lego games are fantastic (Star Wars is huge). I haven’t played Zelda yet, but don’t forget you can play Gamecube games – some are gems and are quite cheap now. Oh, and if you haven’t already, get a second Wiimote.

They didn’t have video games when I was a kid :(

I had to play with a gay plastic Johnny West doll.
