Of All the Days
By Nick | March 2, 2009
So I was driving down Independence Blvd. and all of a sudden I heard a really strange noise. Yep…a blow out…and a huge one at that! A large piece of metal impaled my passenger side rear tire and gouged an enormous slice out of it.
Out of all the days this could have happened, it had to happen on a day that was bitter cold and snowing. Just my luck.
On top of that, the place where I am covered by Road Hazard protection has to order the tire and it takes 8 days to get in. INSANITY. I can’t drive on this dinky spare for that long. Luckily another tire store up the road had it on hand. I had them install it and when the one for my Road Hazard comes in, I guess I’ll have a spare. That’s ok though because I am constantly picking up nails with my tires.

AND you are too vain to drive around on that crappy little donut tire on your big bad Subaru wagon. I’ve never known of anyone who gets as many nails and flats as you. Kinda makes you go hmmmmmmm….

Nick you might also want to invest in a small 12V air compressor and a flat tire kit.
Years ago I was going through the same thing, getting flat tires. I finally decided that I would be prepared next time. So I bought my own air compressor and flat tire kit. What’s really great is that most of the time if you get a flat you don’t even have to take the tire off. Just find the offending nail etc, pull it out and use the flat kit to do the plug and pump it back up with the compressor. In less than five minutes you are back on the road.
