Five Things
By Nick | July 10, 2009
Sorry for the long and unexcused absence from my blog. I have just been uninspired, lazy and uninteresting lately. Hopefully that will change soon.
Anyways. I saw this on a blog that I follow and thought it might help kick my butt into gear.
5 Things that I am glad that I have tried so far….
1. Bungee Jumping
I did this with my grandfather in New Zealand…truly an awesome experience.
2. Competing in the East Coast Surfing Championship-
What a catastrophe that was…..lets just put it this way. I got a trophy for 6th place…..out of 6 people. It was ugly.
3. Sushi-
Seriously…sushi has changed my life. I was a little nervous at first, but once I did try it , it has become a lifelong love affair.
4. Owning my own business(es)-
I can’t think of a better way of making a living than by being a part of something you have created.
5. Stage Diving-
I did this once at an Iggy Pop concert….it was awesome.
What are 5 things that you are glad you have tried?

1. yoga – used to have a corny misconception of what it was and instead it turned out to be deeply transforming for body/mind/soul.
2. buying a house – never thought i’d be able to own my own home but i was selling myself short.
3. ditto on your number 3 – sushi is not gross or icky… it is sublime.
4. giving up meat and dairy – not hard at all, even though i feared it’d be one of the most difficult things i could ever challenge myself to do.
5. opening my eyes and getting out of bed. (is this reeking with metaphor?)
