Last night while flipping through the channels on TV before bed, I came across a show on SPIKE TV called MANswers. The basic premise of the show is to give answers to questions that men have. After watching the show it dawned on me that the men that asked the questions must not have been that highly evolved. Either that or they were frat boys. Don’t get me wrong, I like humor that is deemed as inappropriate to many, but this show took it too far if you asked me. I was partially offended. Some of the topics were funny, but some were just so unneccessary.
Some of the more offensive topics were:
- How to make a stripper your lady
- Are women with fake boobs hornier?
- Do big boobs float?
- Uses for urine
- How to determine if a hooker is a cop
- How to get drunk faster
Come on people. Is the American public that interested in this crap? Should we be promoting “How to get drunk faster” on television? Call me a censor, but I just don’t think this sort of nonsense should be posted on television. That is what the internet is for. If you want to know the answers to that crap, search for it. Don’t make me happen upon a guy shoving a funnel up his ass to pour alcohol in it in order to get drunk faster. I don’t want to see a girl rubbing urine on her face because “Urea” is a common ingredient in many makeups. What if your 10 year old son happened upon this show only to learn that in order to make sure a hooker is not a cop, all they need to do is ask if the “hooker” is willing to do nude modeling?
This is the sort of crap that is influencing kids these days. And don’t get me started on all of the not so real “reality” shows.
I am by no means a prude (”prune” to you Missy), but I was offended. I think more because it insulted my intelligence.
I think we all need a little more of the Discovery Channel in our lives instead.

I had the same reaction to a show called Keys to the VIP where two guys have a contest to prove who is better at schmoozing women in clubs, and they are judged by a panel of 4 other guys who are supposed experts in the ‘field’…on the whole it makes males look pretty horrible.
