Tuesday, April 29th, 2008Whenever I sit down to draw something I always seem to be focused on faces. Its wierd. I have these unbelievable visions of landscapes and machines, but faces are what always come out. Above is one that came out several years ago. Over the next few days I will post a few. None of them [...]
Too Much
Monday, April 28th, 2008Yet another from my polaroid experiments. There is something about this film that I just love. I know that all the photos are blurry and there are tons of imperfections in the color and the consistencies on the images, but I love the feeling that the pictures evoke for me. They are more organic or [...]
New Header Image
Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008So I decided to try out this new header image. I’ve always like the image for some reason. I took it with one of my polaroid cameras on expired film last summer. That’s why it is sort of blurry ….but I think that it adds to its character.
EX MARQUES THE SPOT
Thursday, April 17th, 2008This is a piece I worked on last summer in a class that I was taking with mom. The medium is called Encaustics. It is the process of heating up wax and applying pigments to it. This piece is done on a piece of wood. Its got a lot of texture to it that really [...]
Qatar Bound…Not me, my sister!
Wednesday, April 16th, 2008As some of you may know, my sister is a fashion design student (and a damn fine one too) at VCU in Richmond, VA. Today I got a call from her saying that she and her design partner had won a design contest. From her blog: May 5th I’ll be going to Qatar for a [...]

We decided to stay in town. Instead, I got a lot done..did a photo shoot for another surfboard, mowed the yard, cut down a tree, [...]
Corduroy Lines
Monday, April 7th, 2008Remember when I mentioned that my photographs would be in a magazine…well…the magazine is out! Its called Corduroy Lines…its a UK based surfing magazine that features surfboards and boardmakers from all over the country. I took these shots for the guys at Austin Surfboards and they asked if they could submit them for the magazine. [...]
It’s like Crack.
Saturday, April 5th, 2008I have a confession to make…I made another trip to Jerry’s Artarama and purchased another $50 worth of art supplies…then went to Lowe’s to buy even more stuff for making art. It’s an addiction…I am assuming like crack. Painting the day before yesterday was the Creative Drano that I needed to free up this artistic block I [...]
Twenty Thirteen
Thursday, April 3rd, 2008Being that today is my birthday, I decided to take the day off of work and have a “Me” day. I got up at 9:00am (super late for me), slugged around the house for a while, went out to a lovely Mexican lunch with Christy, got a visit from my mom and an old family [...]
The Renewal Art Show, Norfolk, VA
Monday, March 24th, 2008Friday night Christy and I (along with a few friends) went to see my buddy, Davmo at the art show he was participating in. It was a great show, lots of unique and creative pieces. It always amazes me at how creative some people can be. Blows my mind. Anyways, above you will see one [...]
